Coffee review, show your boobs, get some beads
Today I am talking about New Orlean's Famous French Market Carnival Blend coffee. This Mardi Gras delight comes to me via Kimi who gave it to me even though I relentlessly teased her about going to New Orleans but being afraid to walk down Bourbon Street. Can you blame me though? I mean really. Why else would you go to the French Quarter of New Orleans??? Thank you Kimi! Sorry about the teasing. The bunny's ass is pointing squarely towards me. Ok, on with the subject of this blog.
This coffee is like a children's carnival complete with cotton candy, balloons, clowns, and strings of beads to anyone who will show their boobs. And that's in every single sip. The only thing missing from this taste of New Orleans is the smell of urin which really helps define the french quarter. Where is Bourbon Street? Follow your nose.
We've been kicking around just what exactly that "Mardi Gras" taste is. At first I was thinking it was Tutti-Fruity or something. However, I think Sara hit it on the head when she announced that it taste like Circus Peanuts candy.
I hated circus peanuts as a kid. As a coffee however it isn't half bad. There does seem to be a slight artificial flavor aftertaste. It usually kicks in about a half hour after you finish the cup when you find yourself looking around for a breath mint. I sure could use a breath mint right now.
Flavored coffee drinkers will find this a festive treat suitable for any occasion. Hard core coffee drinkers will shun the coffee that taste like a party. Of special note is the brewing instructions, one and one-half tablespoons of coffee per six ounces of water. Not mentioned on the bag but well worth mentioning is that this coffee is best enjoyed in the presence of topless women in natural lighting. Beads are a must.
