...and another thing

I am supposed to go to a bachlor party tonight. I am dreading it. I am dreading it with every fibre of my being. Friends are good, drunk is pretty good, the party bus is going to be fun on a bun, but some dumbass decited that we "have" to go to a nudie bar. There is some sort of right of passage that has been ingrained into the idiot mind whereby he has to be a lamb lead to a slaughter. Not the teeth and claw slaughter, that would be preferable over the nudie bar lamb to the slaughter. So with silicon, makeup, and thong we stupid drunk guys are going to willingly put ourselves into a position to be robbed of both our money and our pride. How is this fun? No friend is worth that. A real friend wouldn't put a friend into that position. Isn't it enough to force us to drive two hours to the wedding ceremony? Isn't "uncomfortable", and "ceremony", enough to ask of anyone?

Maybe if I am really lucky I will have to be hospitalized before 9pm tonight.

Hey Woody, although I don't quite get why some of you guys don't like strip clubs - my husband feels pretty similar to you about them. A few years back (before we were married, I think) he was at a bachelor party where they decided to go to a strip club. He said he just had a good time talking to the bouncer all night. Well - at least that's what he told me. Although, I'm always trying to GET him to go to a strip club - so I don't know why he'd lie to me. (I got his best friend in trouble one year because for Russ' birthday I offered to pay for them to go. Russ decided not to - and oohhh, his best friend's wife was mad at me! :) Yes, they only pay attention to you for the money. But, they're trying to make a living. Find a girl who looks rather healthy, is kind of cute, and get a lap dance for the heck of it (as long as that's okay with YOUR wife). Then, spend the rest of the night laughing at your buddies' stupidity and talking to the bartender or bouncer. Enjoy!

While I think that it is extremely cool that you are fine and supportive of some other woman rubbing herself across your man for the purpose of taking his money (Sara is too).

I personally have real problems with others, any others, entering my personal space. My personal space starts two arm lengths away. Non strangers are allowed up to one arms length away, wife, mother, and father are allowed inside of one arms length. None enter unannounced. (Ask my wife, I flinch unconsiously.)

Plus I am more of a voyer. I don't want to be a part of it, I would rather sit off to the side and watch.

So feel free to strip for me, but don't touch me.

I guess I could dream up a huge work assignment for you and force you into work tonight. Or you could take a good book and hang out in the party bus and wait for the drunken hosers to return to the bus. Or, like my man, you can call Sara from the bar and spend time chatting her up while you are bored on the bus! I found it interesting the other day in an interview that even Kid Rock would not go into a titty bar because he feels like it is too disrespectful to the woman he may be in a relationship with. Hmmmnnnn, even Mr. American Badass! Read that pmbok and baby, at least you will get a nap!

I suggested gaming. Several times.

It's not that I don't like strip clubs-- I do-- but that I hate getting all worked-up over something I ain't gonna get and ending up broke and hung over the next morning.

Completely understand, Woody. I'm glad you are respectful of women - and as a woman I respect your personal space. :) Hope you have a decent time anyway!

It turned out to be alot of fun. I'm glad I went and I recommend going sometime. Think of it as a type of extreme peoplewatching.
