It frosted last night. At 10:00am, there was still frost in the shade in front of my house, and the temperature was around 40F. Brr! Three weeks to go until it's theoretically safe to plant most stuff outside. However, the snow peas apparently liked the frost. Most of them burst through the soil overnight. They're about 1 inch high, but their little leaves haven't unfurled yet.
I started working on containers to plant more peas in today. I'm using 40lb kitty litter buckets. ^_^ I spray painted them purple. I learned that if you use WD-40 to try to get the labels off the buckets, it's really important to make sure all of the WD-40 is off of the buckets before spray painting them. I left the buckets outside to be rained on and I wiped them down before painting them. I missed some spots. Oh well. The crappy-looking side can just face the shed. :P
Next to the shed, I think the chard I sprinkled into the big terra cotta pot next to the shed are starting to sprout. That would be nice. :P Maybe chard likes frost, too. *shrug*
Today is the first day this year that I mowed the grass. Ironically, it is also the day that I noticed that the wild violets have finally started blooming. I did my best to mow around them.
I also had a crazy idea about the yard as I was mowing it. The wire grass hasn't woken up yet. I wish it would never wake up, but I don't think that's possible. But I wonder if it can be starved out. I have two big bags of red clover seed. I wonder if the red clover would out-compete the wire grass. I'm thinking about flinging the clover seed around the yard and finding out.
Indoors, several more Amish Paste tomatoes are poking through the soil. They're a little late to the party! But they're still welcome. :) I'll plant them ... somewhere. I'm thinking about planting some tomatoes in those topsy-turvy things and hanging them on my front porch - if I can find some in more tasteful colors. They're kinda gaudy. Maybe I'll hang them off of the shed instead.
And the older Amish Paste sprouts are just now starting to form the second set of leaves.
Oh! One more outdoor thing to note: Water does wick up through the bottom of the tray with holes in it, just as I hoped. The problem is figuring out how much water to put in the bottom tray - I don't want to waterlog the plants by having them sit in wet soil that can't drain because there's already water underneath it. I guess I'll have to experiment to figure it out.

Great write-up, but noooooo not OsCommerce! I dose on tylenol when using OSCommerce so I can avoid the migranes. Check out Interspire, it's what I've been using lately and it's like a lighter edition of magento.

You happen to be absolutely spot on using this type of, I'll be confident to sample true American brew. Next time I want a taste of Europe, I will have a Bud. Thanks for thisbr /Jorge, Seattle, WA
"Being fearless" has always been a critical skill for non-profit leadership that wants to realize the changes their non-profit was set up to deal with. AND it still needs additional development. This is not a new fad growing out of social media.
I see in my blog trackers significant traffic coming from facebook. My blog is not connected with facebook, I don't have an account there, and I can't see, who posts the links...any ideas?.
Nice game, whoever hold B on this map normally wins. let me know what you think of my vid layout?
i think the beauty of the marathon is that it opens itself up to any definition of respect. for you, it is doing it as fast as you can. for someone else, it is doing as many as they can in one year. for me, it is oh, who knows, i am not even sure i can capture the incredible feelings i have when running 26.2 and put them into words. i just feel more like myself running than i do any other time, and this is esp true when racing. its a beautiful sport because as much as it punishes us, it allows us all to be punished in our own way.
Keep up the good work in your Boston training. It has been inspiring to see your progress.

That's exactly what I used to be wondering. No offense on the inventor, but what happened when you cut absent what would appear to become at least a fourth of your car's construction? I do think I realize what became of most of these Pintos. Unless there was some sort of structural stiffener additional, sags, cracks and doors that won't close or pop open at inopportune instances, and other maladies would've lead to an early trip on the crusher. Other wise it truly is not a terrible shopping modification.
Washington D.C. is a city of Southern efficiency and Northern charm.

I have recently started a website, the info you provide on this web site has helped me greatly. Thanks for all of your time & work.
Right now it appears like BlogEngine is the top blogging platform out there right now. (from what I've read) Is that what you are using on your blog?
Great blog you have here but I was wondering if you knew of any message boards that cover the same topics talked about in this article? I'd really love to be a part of group where I can get opinions from other knowledgeable people that share the same interest. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks a lot!

Howdy, i read your blog occasionally and i own a similar one and i was just curious if you get a lot of spam feedback? If so how do you prevent it, any plugin or anything you can advise? I get so much lately it's driving me insane so any help is very much appreciated.

"Persons like the reviewer in question are unaware of this difference, or even of the fact that any language, with or without a literary tradition, does have 'rules 1, even if no one has bothered to adorn or burden it (depending on their point of view) with 'rules 2."
According to the full report, Colorado's percentage is 40.6%, so it is correctly a dark blue state.
Hey Beth Anne,
I am a Music Education Major at Penn State University. I really enjoyed listening to your story and it made me think twice when complaining about having to right a paper. I was just wondering if you ever get spare time and if you do, is there anything that you really enjoy doing? I was also wondering what made you decide to go to college? Was it always a goal you had or was it something you decided you wanted to do closer to graduation? Finally, Are you still taking classes and how much longer do you need to take them?
Just got a Nintendo 3DS and after playing the AR games on that I instantly remembered this game and wondered what ever became of it and if it ever came out. Would love to see this game and others like it on either phones or the 3DS. Honestly, selling it on the 3DS marketplace would seem like a perfect fit since that system is already set up to handle such games.
We are the USPPI (a commercial EAR99 company), with a Korean customer. We have a shipment that is FOB, UNEX. UNEX is one of our vendors and is located in Korea as well. This shipment is considered a drop shipment from our vendor, however, our customer is going to arrange the pickup. Are we as the USPPI responsible for the Commercial Invoice and Packing List? Or just the Commercial Invoice?
I keep going round and round on who should supply what document.
is the census data broken down by local? I mean $47,100 in New York isnt the same as $47,100 in Kansas. How is the data categorized and broken down for us to read?
BenHemmens, in AmEng one "watches baseball" anarthrously but in BrEng one apparently at least sometimes "watches the cricket" with the definite article inserted. If there's a logical/semantic distinction motivating the difference, I can't figure it out.
Jennifer,
The article you cite is from three months ago and discusses many of the cuts we initiated in order to fund higher priority programs, like the Economic Census. We're now at a different point in the budget process where the House Appropriations Committee has proposed deeper cuts. These cuts mean we cannot do all the work the Congress has asked us to do, which would force us to cancel major programs.
But if all the counties I've worked in (for the last 10+ yrs) except the one I live in stays with the current "SFR", what happens to my assignment????
An excellent article. Very informative as well! Keep up the good work!

Wow! Looks like the trip is off to a great start. Hope you guys have lots of fun and learn all about South Africa's public horticulture.
I will gladly fill out the questionaire.
How about sending me the RIGHT questionaire with my RIGHT address?
I have been to the post office and to townhall and asked if I could change the address on the one I got. The answer was NO, on all counts.
Do you want me counted or not?
I feel that getting college students involved in the census is a very good idea. College students make up a large percent of the population and they deserve to be included in the census. Most college students also want to be more independent and start doing things for themselves to prepare them for real life situations that they will have to face in the future. Many college students that go away and live in dormitories or in their own apartments assume that their parents will fill one out for them but in reality, they are living on their own elsewhere and should be liable to fill out their own census. I also agree with Emily that alerting college students through their email service is an effective was of getting them to participate. Most students in college aren't going to remember to do the census and are bust with their own lives and tremendous amounts of work that they probably wouldn't remember to do this. By emailing them they are notified and reminded to take a few minute to fill out the census. Colleges should also educate and inform their students about the census and why it is important to fill it out. If the students have a better understanding of how the census works and how it benefits our country, they will be more encouraged to participate and fill it out. I also feel that they should be offered a reward or have a motivation for participating in the census so that more people are represented in the upcoming census.
HALOUMI!
Looks like an amazing adventure guys are you tweeting thsi??!!

If a company sells a server, with preloaded customized software. It is not mass-market software. It is loaded in to the harddrive of the server. The server is valued at $10,000, but the software is valued at $15,000. The vendor sells the system for $25,000, $15,000 of which is the software. How is this reported on the AES?
Great news! Better news: They found his stash of porn!!
The problem here isn't really that Will is making up facts, it is that newspapers are publishing his columns with such misinformation instead of pulling the column.
Congratulations on your progress!
If it would be helpful for next years canoe construction, we would like to donate a stucco sprayer and Spiderlath mesh. Who should I contact about this?
I was an enumerator for the 1980 Census. I heard many reports concerning assaults on staff members. I don't think people are aware of the dangers involved. I wasn't attacked, and I believe that was because of being very careful concerning the situations I was involved in. Inner city work is different than rural areas. There just seemed to be negative attitudes about gov't asking the kind of appropiate questions. So that responsible budget appropiations can be rationally constructed. I later worked for the State Treasury department and saw how complicated these appropiations can be!!
Sincerely yours,
