I've been trying to post these pictures since Sunday afternoon. So without further ado and no photo editing, here they are.
This is the long view of the raised beds before I cut the fabric and planted lima beans, chard, squash, and zucchini.
Here's a close-up of the stakes I drove to keep the boards from bowing. And I also plan to tie bean poles and tomato trellises to them.
These are the cucumber buckets. (They're former kitty litter buckets with drainage holes drilled into them.)

And a close up of a cucumber in the bucket. There are also nasturtiums in the buckets, but they haven't sprouted yet.
Two pictures of the hydrangeas and hostas. They hydrangeas are just starting to form buds.

Herbs on the front porch. I went to herb day at the farmer's market - that was an expensive day! Left to right: some kind of crazy oregano, thyme, Corsican mint. The goat-shaped planter has tiny parsley seedlings in it.
The herbs on the porch that regrew after last year. Left to right: Catnip, elfin thyme (bottom), golden oregano.
Tomato seedlings in front of the perennial bed
Pepper seedlings in front of perennial bed. The second set of seedlings is the calendula, cilantro, tulsi flat that's been on the porch all this time.
The beautyberry looks like this now
And I have wild strawberries! It's nice to have cool plants that I didn't even have to plant!
*whew*
So that's the whirlwind tour of what my plants are up to in late April.
I managed to measure the bamboo shoot for one day, and I haven't measured it since. *sigh* I've been kicking over the shoots daily as I march across the yard with the watering can.

Hannelie, I would seem at TWP 1500 Series.
I really like all of your beer. Besides Hi Time, are there any other locations in Orange County/LA County that carries your brew?
The skylines lit up at dead of night, the air-conditioning systems cooling empty hotels in the desert, and artificial light in t
Nowhere on the Internet is there this much quality and clear details on this topic. How do I know? I know because I’ve searched this topic at length. Thank you.
The other day, while I was at work, my sister stole my apple ipad and tested to see if it can survive a 40 foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My apple ipad is now destroyed and she has 83 views. I know this is entirely off topic but I had to share it with someone!
My spouse and I absolutely love your blog and find most of your post's to be exactly what I'm looking for. Does one offer guest writers to write content in your case? I wouldn't mind publishing a post or elaborating on most of the subjects you write related to here. Again, awesome web log!
Hi! This page is great! Thank you.
Hiya! Quick question that's entirely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My web site looks weird when browsing from my apple iphone. I'm trying to find a template or plugin that might be able to fix this problem. If you have any recommendations, please share. Thanks!

Hi Greg, how's life? But, you'll have to do without G1 games from us. Android doesn't cut the mustard for real AR (as opposed to that ill-registered, wobbly text on top of video junk) since you can't do native marker tracking, etc. I've heard they are adding some methods of doing JNI, which would be nice; perhaps even a JIT?
Hi, thanks for the encouragement. We've thought about doing just that, but hadn't convinced ourselves it would fly. But, as you point out, amazing things happen on kickstarter! So, perhaps we should just go for it! I'd LOVE to make a real version of this game; I've been thinking about it for years now, and have a variety of ideas for how to go from "demo to real". Perhaps it's time ...
word of Dan's passing has reached his home state of ct and people who new him in ct who are now in new hampshire....this info is just tooo hard to believe ...he was a great guy and deep poet...we will miss him and our prayers go out to all his family and closest friends. To good, to go, too soon. The world needs more people in it like Danny!
So good to know that the students will be counted in one or the other places. But "traditional fare like turkey and dressing"? to whom?
What is the correlation to the US Dollar with the import/export numbers, are they simply a function of the currency conversion or is there really more to that?
It is a simple math problem to explain ID and UT. Few low taxpayer mormon adults having tons of kids/spirit babies= low educational funds per kid...but hey, they can learn to read once they get to heaven.
Actually, I went to England in 1997! I can't say that I really enjoyed it, but I think I would appreciate it more now. If you ever go, don't eat the chocolate because it is absolutely awful!
Is it usual to give as a homework assignment to write a letter to one's (pretended?) girlfriend/boyfriend?
Being part of this census is not easy tasks. We have lots of time to do in order to be done of this project.
I remember watching from the window of my office at St. Francis Prep High School all of the emergency vehicles heading into the city on the LIE.I remember parents and family members frantically coming to school to pick-up their loved ones. I watched the great job faculty, staff and administration did trying to make sure all 3,000 students were safe.I remember sitting with a young woman for 4 hours straight until her sister came and said her father was alive.I remember sitting with many of our students who lost loved ones that day and not knowing what to say or do....it's so hard to just "be" for someone during a time like this.I remember reuniting with an old school friend Timmy on Saturday night and then hearing he died in the towers just a few days later!!! I remember attending his wake and funeral with hundreds of other people. What a blessing to have been with him and his wife that Saturday night!
With the state of our economy and the fiscal constraints that should be imposed, I cannot believe that you paid the postage to warn people that the 2010 Census was soon to arrive. Counting active duty and federal civil service, I have 42 years working for the government and that is one of the greatest wastes of money I've seen. I personally can figure that I should mail the Census back to you and could just as easily read the Internet address from the real Census literature.
If a company sells a server, with preloaded customized software. It is not mass-market software. It is loaded in to the harddrive of the server. The server is valued at $10,000, but the software is valued at $15,000. The vendor sells the system for $25,000, $15,000 of which is the software. How is this reported on the AES?
maybe you should unsubscribe from that notification emails, it will help you.
