The Plants are Planted

| 50 Comments | No TrackBacks
I am woefully behind on my blogging, but at least most of the plants are planted now.

Every other one of these Lolipop tomatoes is one I grew from seeds that I saved last year.  Since the tomato that I saved the seeds from was open pollinated near other tomato varieties, I have no idea what those tomatoes will be like.  But they're right next to 100% Lolipop tomatoes, which will serve as the controls!

The peppers in this bed are jalapenos I saved from seed last year (also open pollinated near other peppers, so they're mystery peppers!), orange bell peppers, Doe Hill Golden bell peppers, and Hungarian Wax peppers.

The trellis for the cucumbers will be coming along shortly ...

20110519 001.jpgNext up are the potatoes and edamame.  I'm hoping the potatoes will be harvested and out of the way before the edamame gets gigantic, but I don't know ...

20110519 002.jpg
And the other tomatoes and peppers.  These are alternating Illini Gold and Hungarian Italian Paste tomatoes.  Planted between the potatoes are jalapeno and cayenne peppers.

And there's one zucchini on each end that I saved from last year's seeds.  Mystery zucchini, I guess. :P

20110519 003.jpg
And these are the spares!

20110519 004.jpgSo far I've lost a few peppers that I'll need to replace with the spares, but the rest of them are looking for new homes!

I have a bunch of herbs from the herb fair this year that are out in the front flower bed, but it needs a serious weeding before I'm going to take any pictures of it!

City Spa in Stoughton, MA. Finest bar pizza you ever had. Alumni Cafe in Quincy, MA has very good bar pizza as well. Attempt the linguica pizza at both equally spots.

My telephone calls and meetings and decisions were now parts of a prescribed ritual aimed at making peace with the past his call

you are really a good webmaster. The website loading speed is amazing. It seems that you are doing any unique trick. Furthermore, The contents are masterwork. you've done a excellent job on this topic!

I'm truly enjoying the design and layout of your website. It's a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more pleasant for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a developer to create your theme? Outstanding work!

Fantastic blog! Do you have any recommendations for aspiring writers? I'm hoping to start my own website soon but I'm a little lost on everything. Would you suggest starting with a free platform like Wordpress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I'm totally overwhelmed .. Any suggestions? Cheers!

The new Zune shiny blue gloves free browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.

I used to be so desperate about matters similar to this. It’s my all time favourite. I like the way you produce the

Love this website. Have you ever thought share this information on other blogs?

Sorry for cute blue mittens free the huge review, but I'm really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it's the right choice for you.

Loving the information on this website, you have done great job on the content.

Good day! Do you use Twitter? I'd like to follow you if that would be okay. I'm absolutely enjoying your blog and look forward to new updates.

I visited a lot of website but I think this one has got something special in it.

I'm really loving the theme/design of your weblog. Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility problems? A handful of my blog audience have complained about my website not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Safari. Do you have any recommendations to help fix this issue?

"I work in a library that gets a lot of trade questions and one that periodically comes up is: how data is reported dollars v. measure (tonnage, etc.). Other than at the commodity level, does Census (or anyone) report higher level data by the measure as opposed to dollars?"
Each 10 digit commodity code is assigned a unit of measure (unit of quantity) that will be most informative to the industry when it is aggregated for the month or year etc. This can be inconvenient at times when a product is being invoiced by piece but the unit of quantity is in kg however, a box of bolts from one company may be 10 times the size of a box of bolts from another company.
Commodity headings and subheadings may contain various units of quantity at the ten-digit level and will not allow for a simple additive summary. My best suggestion would be to use a resource like USATRADONLINE.GOV or DATAWEB.USITC.GOV and extract the data at the ten digit level and summarize it in a program like Excel, making sure to account for differences in quantity.
I hope this answers your question and I am sorry it isn't more convenient to get the higher level quantity information. Also, there may be a third party company that provides this service, but I am personally unaware of one.

Glad to read the blog, see you guys in Guangzhou

it's a fact that it exists... big companies can buy an account that can go over any hidden information. how much you know about it or not is a different story.

Jodie thanks I responded to your question about the book ... Yes, I have been told by many people that I should write a book! I plan on doing it one day, but I also want to write a book with my poetry. I express myself best in my poetry. But an autobiography has been on my mind lately!

Sounds like you guys had an awesome day! Also, form the photos, it looks like you've been having perfect weather. Bet you can't wait to get back to good old DE!

It's really important that we hear what you think so we can properly represent your interests.

I cannot appreciate it enough for the article. Really Cool.

Bill,
If you want to read more about the Computer Security Guidelines, check out NIST's website, csrc.nist.gov. NIST, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, developed the security measures that we must follow.
Extending the password expiration term may be possible. I'll bring up the idea to our supervisors and our security liaison. Giving users the option to change the frequency may be beyond our means. Again though, I'll bring the suggest to their attention.
In terms of your paper requests for passwords, one of our co-workers worked to get the password recovery to be an online process. Currently, the only paper requests for password are for the Account Administrator who get locked out. We've also added a counter so you know how many attempts you have left as well as increase the number of attempts you are in the given time frame (originally 1 hour, now 15 minutes).
I appreciate your questions and comments. This dialogue needs to be taking place. A lot of people ask why our passwords are so hard and basically, it's to protect their information. If we can make AESDirect easier for users without sacrificing security, then we are all for it.

To be healthy and have a fast metabolic rate you need to eat every 3 hours. So that is up to 6 small meals a day rather than two or three.

So the question (not to be confused with the only question) is: Is the meaning (not to be confused with the only meaning) of "the" definite?

some of you may already know, I've been trying to complete Accolade into a final and stable theme ready for production. This involves getting Accolade issues ironed

Just curious, what engine is that?

I think you r right but Im not sure that Carmelo will play nice with the new players. I think the glory will go to his head.

Very impressed with your detailed goals and objectives!

Howdy! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could find a captcha plugin for my comment form? I'm using the same blog platform as yours and I'm having problems finding one? Thanks a lot!

Hello, I think your site might be having browser compatibility issues. When I look at your blog site in Safari, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that, awesome blog!

The same problem happened in Chili, Santiago and Valparaiso. I think we will have more in a short future if we still facing the global warming problem.

I, too, was a NRFU and VDC enumerator. I had a surprising number of people tell me that the questions were unconstitutional, that the President is a communist and the Census questions are part of some plot, that "the government doesn't need my phone number (or age or race or whether I have a mortgage)", and one woman who told me that she was "not supposed to talk to me" because she "heard it on the news". I tried to explain to her that the news programs were probably telling her that she IS supposed to talk to me but she insisted. LOUDLY.
She closed the door in my face after telling me that she had to "talk to my lawyer" before she could talk to me.
I returned a number of times (and, often, could hear people inside or spotted them peeking out through the blinds) but no luck. Eventually I used a proxy and got minimal data but likely not what the Bureau had hoped for.
Chad's comment (above) about countering some of the anti-Census radio blather might have been worth a try. It felt awfully alone out there.
PS. My crew leader's response was to "just try again" because the LCO would not accept refusals until we had been turned away at least 3 times. Maybe this level of support from our management has something to do with the Director's points #7 and #10 (above).

Yes, a good number of the team did summit and returned safely, as we documented. Watch for a detailed summary of the expedition in Discovery's Edge soon.

pension release is the name given to the unlocking of a cash lump sum from your pension fund before you retire. Typically, upon retirement you are able to access up to 25% of your fund in cash and use the remainder to purchase an annuity.
However, the government are now allowing people over the age of 55 to access this cash without actually retiring. The remainder of the fund is then left in your pension plan, with any further contributions being added to a new fund.
Thanks for the great article on pension release advice

I will write NIST just for the heck of it, but knowing government bureaucrats I dont expect much of anything
Wonder how many people like me even know about this web site and this conversation?
Thanks again

In the proceedings of a conference that took place in 1987 in Germany we find this in the transcript of the recordings of the discussions: "Provided you use a cracked tension, I do not see that the thickness ...... is so critical a factor, ......".

Have you ever considered creating an ebook or guest authoring on other sites? I have a blog based on the same ideas you discuss and would love to have you share some stories/information. I know my audience would enjoy your work. If you are even remotely interested, feel free to send me an e-mail.

The six regional offices that are remaining open are Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York and Philadelphia. The six regional offices that are closing are Boston, Charlotte, Dallas, Detroit, Kansas City and Seattle.

If you were really interested in reducing costs, why did you close the offices that cost the least to operate while retaining those that are the most expensive?

I feel that getting college students involved in the census is a very good idea. College students make up a large percent of the population and they deserve to be included in the census. Most college students also want to be more independent and start doing things for themselves to prepare them for real life situations that they will have to face in the future. Many college students that go away and live in dormitories or in their own apartments assume that their parents will fill one out for them but in reality, they are living on their own elsewhere and should be liable to fill out their own census. I also agree with Emily that alerting college students through their email service is an effective was of getting them to participate. Most students in college aren't going to remember to do the census and are bust with their own lives and tremendous amounts of work that they probably wouldn't remember to do this. By emailing them they are notified and reminded to take a few minute to fill out the census. Colleges should also educate and inform their students about the census and why it is important to fill it out. If the students have a better understanding of how the census works and how it benefits our country, they will be more encouraged to participate and fill it out. I also feel that they should be offered a reward or have a motivation for participating in the census so that more people are represented in the upcoming census.
